Here is some music that I like a lot, maybe you like it too!!

Shaun Cromwell - Turning of Clocks I met Shaun a couple of years ago on a trip to Southern California and had the pleasure of a private concert during the NAMM show. Needless to say I was amazed at his playing but he didn't sing a lick while trying out my guitars. He did give me a copy of his cd "The Turning of clocks" which I didn't get a chance to listen to for a few days. On checking out of my hotel, I plugged the cd into my player and was completely blown away!!! Song after song just made me feel good. He does a couple of Mississippi John Hurt tunes and he did learn his MJH well, they do sit well very with his own writings. His song writing skills seem to be well beyond his years and his smooth soulful voice sits very comfortably in this music. While the general subject matter of this cd could have been a little dark, he keeps it user friendly and generally uplifting. It makes you want more so I am patiently awaiting his next cd which is in progress right now.
Please check out some of his music on the links above and see what you think. If the music does for you what it does for me, I know you'll want to support Shaun's music with a cd purchase.

John Prine - Live and in Person John Prine needs no introduction, his music is as timeless as it is fabulous. One of my favorites as a kid and it still sounds wonderful. Check out this collection of great tunes live and on stage with some great guests!!!

Kane Welch Kaplin - Kane Welch Kaplin I can't get enough of these guys!!
"These musicians long ago quit compromising, instead creating music that is austere, sincere, and honest. Kane Welch Kaplin isn't meant for background listening; it's made to be absorbed while reading the lyrics and concentrating on the passion, subtle talent, and earnest approach of an American collective that just keeps getting better." - Amazon.com

Dougles, Barenberg, & Meyer - Skip Hop & Wobble Absolutely my favorite collection of tunes in the bluegrass fusion style of music, a real eye opener for me. It'll pick you right up if your feelin' down!!
